When building a conventional home, there is a waste of materials that usually wind up in a dumpster or landfill. Since a modular home is built at a factory, any leftover materials can be used on the next home in the assembly line. Since a modular house needs to be transported from the factory to its final destination, they are built in the factory to withstand more than the typical house would.

Once the go-ahead is given, and depending on the backlog to the modular home company, you could be in your new home anywhere between 6 to 8 weeks, which is lightning fast compared to building a traditional home.

One of the best advantages of a modular home is the cost compared to a traditional home. For a 2000 square foot home, the savings should be approximately 5%, and for a two-story home, savings could be around 10%.
